What owners report

“The contact owns a 2014 jeep cherokee. While driving approximately 40 mph, the check engine warning indicator illuminated and "service transmission" appeared on the instrument panel. While approaching a red light, the speed decreased. While attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle did not accelerate.”

An owner's complaint to NHTSA about the power train, Aug 2019

“My jeep in currently being serviced for the third time, same problem. My jeep will stop on the highway, at highway speeds, transmission goes to neutral, engine idles. You stop the car, shift to park and turn the engine off, then you can start it up, all the dash board lights are lit and when you shift to drive it bangs.”

An owner's complaint to NHTSA about the engine, Jun 2018
